Pro Stock Motorcycles Start Season in Gainesville
Moorpark, Calif. - (March 15, 2006) The riders in the NHRA POWERade Drag
Racing Pro Stock Motorcycle class are revved up for the start of their season
this weekend during the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway in
Gainesville, Fla.
When the 2005 season closed, 2005 Pro Stock Motorcycle Champion Andrew Hines
sat atop the points in the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle, with Matt Smith
sitting 50 points behind him in second. Chip Ellis currently sits in third,
with Ryan Schnitz in fourth and Angelle Sampey rounding out the top five.
Riders accumulate points during their 15-race NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
regular season. The top eight with the most points move onto vie for the 2006
Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle champion bragging rights, held at the Mac Tools
U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.
