WALLACE ON THE NICORETTE 300 AND ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
“I love racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway because it is so fast and there are
multiple grooves, which puts more control in the driver’s hands instead of
just having to depend on the handling of the car. I like groovy tracks! In
recent weeks we’ve raced at tracks that if your car isn’t handling well and
working on the bottom then you are in big trouble because the outside groove
just doesn’t work. At Atlanta if your car isn’t working right on the bottom of
the track, you can search around and find different lines that work best for
the handling of your car and changing conditions. My new crew chief, Randy
Cox, has been working hard to build new cars and put better bodies on some of
my favorite cars from last year. This weekend we are taking chassis #25 which
is one our strongest and most dependable cars from last season, so hopefully
we can start to build some momentum and turn things around with the AutoZone
team.??
