Ashton Gray Racing Forgoes Atlanta; Eyes Nashville
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (March 14, 2006) - - Ashton Gray Racing a brand new
NASCAR Busch Series was supposed to debut this weekend in the Nicorette 300
at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but team officials have elected to skip this weekend
’s event focusing their efforts towards the NBS event at Nashville
Superspeedway on April 15th.
“We’ve decided that it was in the best interest of the team to forgo this
weekend’s race in order for us to better prepare ourselves for Nashville,??
explained Dwayne Gaulding, owner of AGR. “The team could participate in this
weekend’s event, but we want to make sure our team is at full strength when we
unload. This is best for all of our parties involved.??
Jason White, the team’s driver stands behind his owner’s decision. “I am
perfectly comfortable with Dwayne's decision,?? he said. “We have too much
to lose if we were to go this weekend. We’re going to continue to build this
team into a professional organization and we’ll be ready for Nashville next
month.??
White and the remainder of the Ashton Gray Racing team will unload their No.
08 Dodge Intrepid for the eighth event on the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series
schedule, the Pepsi 300 at NSS (Nashville Superspeedway). Practice begins on
Friday, April 14th with the event set for Saturday, April 15th following the ARCA
RE/MAX Series race.
