Polk Appoints Walter Rothschild Vice President, Global Marketing & Product Strategy

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 13 -- R. L. Polk & Co. today announced the appointment of Walter Rothschild as vice president, Global Marketing & Product Strategy. In this role, Rothschild will be the strategic leader for marketing and product efforts across markets and, as a member of the Global Leadership Team will report to Joe Walker, president, Polk Global Automotive.

"With broad marketing leadership experience, Walter will provide expert insight to bolster Polk's global strategy," said Walker. "His expertise in brand and product strategy will be invaluable in repositioning Polk in the global marketplace."

Prior to joining Polk, Rothschild served as executive vice president of Marketing at TransUnion LLC for five years. In this role, he was responsible for building TransUnion's first marketing organization, developing a global brand strategy to reposition the company, restructuring the product architecture and identifying consumers as a market.

Rothschild also spent 12 years at MasterCard International Inc. serving as vice president of global debit brands, vice president of global products and brands, and vice president of marketing, U.S. region acceptance. He started his career in marketing and product management in consumer banking after graduating from Long Island University with a bachelor's degree in political science, history, and business.
