Total Parts Plus Releases Content Adapter for Agile PLM Solutions

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., March 10 -- Total Parts Plus (TPP), a leading provider of obsolescence and environmental compliance solutions, and Agile Software Corporation , a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, today announced that they have entered into a joint marketing agreement. As part of the agreement, the two companies will work together on the release of the Total Parts Plus Content Adapter for Agile. This adapter will allow Agile customers to directly access TPP's component information from within their PLM solution.

Companies today have problems gathering and maintaining accurate data regarding their components. The Total Parts Plus database provides customers with the most current information available. The database includes information on production status, lifecycle predictions, RoHS flagging, and full material content disclosure.

"With the current state of the industry, we are seeing manufacturers issue material change notices several times a year," said Todd Montgomery, Vice President of Total Parts Plus. "If you aren't in constant contact with suppliers, your compliance documentation may be inaccurate before the RoHS deadline even arrives."

"There are a lot of companies out there that have gathered a significant portion of their compliancy documentation, but have no way of organizing it," said Montgomery. "With Agile, these companies have a way of managing their material content information and integrating it into their supply chain management solution."

"Agile's experience has shown that developing a system for collecting and maintaining current material content information is a big challenge for customers," said Chris Wong, EVP and Chief Product Officer at Agile. "By adding the Total Parts Plus content adapter to our list of available content adapters, we eliminate the need for customers to perform these tasks internally."

Total Parts Plus will be exhibiting at Agile's upcoming user conference Agility, March 12-15th in Las Vegas. Please visit us at booth 3.
