Honda Power Equipment Earns Four 'Best Buy' Awards
ALPHARETTA, GA - March 10, 2006: The editors of Consumers Digest magazine have chosen three Honda tillers and one Honda lawnmower to be included in the magazine's 2006 list of Best Buys. The selected products, announced in the March/April issue, were evaluated and selected for offering the best quality at the most reasonable price.
The Honda HRX216HXA was named the Best Buy in the premium lawnmower category. The Honda HRX(TM), launched in 2004, features the unique Versamow(TM) System. Its revolutionary design enables the mower either to mulch or bag, or to simultaneously mulch and bag grass clippings without the use of any additional tools.
In the tiller evaluation categories, Honda was awarded three separate Best Buy titles. The Honda FR600 tiller was named the Best Buy premium tiller with more than 2.5 horsepower (hp); the F220 was named the Best Buy premium tiller with less than 2.5 hp, and the FG110 mini tiller was named as the Best Buy mid-priced tiller with less than 2.5 hp.
Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of tillers for commercial, rental and consumer applications. The product line consists of four models in three series (Handheld, Mid-Tine and Rear-Tine) ranging from 1 hp to 8 hp and weighing from 28.8 lbs. to 276 lbs. All models come standard with electronic ignition for quick and easy starting and are backed by a two-year homeowner warranty.
In keeping with Honda's tradition of environmental leadership, all of its tillers are built with environmentally responsible technology. Four-stroke designs are quieter than comparably-sized two-stoke engines, up to 30 percent more fuel efficient, and are virtually smoke free.
Since the Best Buy designation program began, Honda power products, including lawnmowers, tillers, snowblowers, outboard engines, generators and trimmers have won 23 awards.
