WALLACE ON THE SAM'S TOWN 300 AND LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
"Everyone always look forward to going out to Las Vegas. It is definitely
one of the most fun and exciting places that we race all year. After being in
Mexico for four or five days, Las Vegas is going to be a little bit of
culture shock. We tested for two days out in Vegas at the beginning of February and
I felt like we had a really positive test. We spent most of the first day
working through issues that we had last year on the intermediate tracks and
then the second day we worked on gaining speed by adjusting our set up. The
AutoZone team worked really hard over the winter to put new bodies on all of the
cars, in an effort to improve our intermediate program. In California we
qualified well, but our results didn't show all of our hard work because we had a
spring collapse during the race. Hopefully we will be able to rebound at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway and really show how much we've improved the #22
AutoZone Ford."
