CarJockey.com Announces Launch of an Online Vehicle Trading System
OWENSBORO, Ky., March 1 -- CarJockey.com, the Internet's largest wholesale used vehicle network for franchised dealers, announced the successful launch of its online trading system. Unlike other Internet based systems that depend on multiple buyers over extended periods to drive a fair price, CarJockey.com's unique system allows buyers and sellers to complete transactions at market values within minutes. Network members pay no setup fees, no monthly fees, and no listing fees.
"The response as a concept was great, but since dealers have actually made transactions, the interest in our system has exploded," said John Moore, Founder of CarJockey.com. "We exceeded our transaction goals for the first month and several of our partners have not even begun marketing to their clients. The system is very easy to utilize; if someone can turn on a computer they can buy or sell within this Network."
The system focuses on efficiency for buyer and seller. Utilizing the dealers' current data management systems, CarJockey.com lists the dealer's excess inventory in the Network. CarJockey.com's automated notification system alerts sellers when a legitimate offer has been established. Buyers can search the inventory and make offers based on market values for vehicles that fit their desired inventory or customer. The unique trading system allows a transaction to be completed in minutes.
Bill Jordan, of Bill Collins Ford in Louisville, KY, sold several vehicles in the system in the first few days. "I love the system. Not only is the system really helpful managing our inventory turn, but it gives us access to more vehicles for our retail customers. I believe it provides a real advantage when competing with corporate owned stores like CarMax," said Jordan.
Dealers are in several states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and more. "We prefer adding dealers where we have local representation, but do not prevent progressive dealers outside our current markets from joining the network. We plan to add reps in California, Georgia, and Florida soon. Currently, our best marketers are the current members. We expect over the next few months to add hundreds of more dealerships and thousands of more vehicles," said John Moore.
