Hella Showcases Full Line of Beacons at Work Truck Show

PEACHTREE CITY - Feb. 28, 2006: Hella Inc., the aftermarket sales company of Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., will display a full line of warning and emergency beacons at The Work Truck Show(R), part of the annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention being held Feb. 28, 2006 - March 3, 2006, in Atlanta.

Hella beacons are SAE certified and built to withstand even the harshest underground conditions. Each line is highly customizable for specific applications.

The modular DuraRAY(R) system features a heavy-duty cast alloy top and base for optimal cooling, mechanical strength and corrosion protection. The warning beacon also uses Hella's Free Form reflector combined with linear optics in a robust ring lens to deliver a highly effective alert signal.

Paired with a proven Multivolt power supply, DuraRAY(R) can operate on 9-36 volt supply systems, while Hella's very successful MultiFLASH system provides 11 selectable flash patterns to suit local regulations. DuraRAY(R) beacons will be available in a wide range of signal colors.

The modular design of Hella's DuraRAY(R) allows for various sizes to be constructed to suit particular applications without sacrificing any of the inherent features of the product. The beacons can be used with a variety of mounting systems and come in twin-, quad- and six-layer models with an amber signal, finished in high-visibility mining yellow. They are also available in a range of paint finishes as required for the specific beacon application (including polished chrome).

OptiRay is an SAE Class II certified safety beacon. It is equipped with innovative user-selectable features including adjustable flash patterns, battery monitor, light sensor, intensity control and auto-reverse indicator, making the OptiRay both more visible and more flexible than traditional dual or quad flash strobes.

OptiRay is the most innovative, feature-rich strobe on the market. Sixteen user-selectable flash patterns provide customization along with the added safety of higher visibility due to the variability of the patterns. When selected, the light sensor and intensity control allow two options to the constant power mode: off during the day and on at night; on during the day and 50% intensity at night. Additionally, OptiRay offers an auto-reverse indicator, which when engaged, provides a specific back-up flash pattern to indicate when the vehicle is in reverse.

A high-performance LED warning beacon for diverse automotive applications and municipal use, the K-LED accommodates a modular system of circular LED discs, each equipped with 60 high intensity LEDs for maximum light output and warning efficiency. Advanced LED technology provides ultra-fast response times for maximum visibility.

K-LED features a robust aluminum housing and interchangeable, clear PMMA lenses with a bayonet locking system. An alloy base and cap provide optimal corrosion protection and withstand even the most extreme weather conditions. All K-LED warning beacons are equipped with a multi-volt power supply that enables them to operate on 9 to 36V supply systems, while the MultiFLASH system provides the user with 11 user-selectable flash patterns and flash modes to suit local requirements.

K-LED beacons are equipped with self-diagnostic electronics that are protected against both transient voltage spikes and reverse polarity. The primary range of K-LED warning beacons includes twin and quad layer models with an amber signal.

UltraRay meets SAE Class I certification in the 4" and 6" options that are available. The combination of superior illumination and advanced technology make the UltraRay both more visible and more flexible than other strobes. The UltraRay offers user-selectable features such as a battery monitor, light sensor and auto-reverse indicator, as well as four flash patterns.

The design of the UltraRay case is as revolutionary as the LED system it protects. It uses potted electronics and metal-injected aluminum base, a vibration-proof LED light source and Lexan optic.

JuniorRay is a high-quality LED strobe designed to be price competitive with traditional flashtube strobes. With an SAE Class II certification, JuniorRay is available in five vibrant colors and three mounting options: direct, magnetic with lighter cord, and pipe mount (requires optional Pipe Kit).

Incorporating LUXEON(R) LEDs the JuniorRay uses quality materials, high-tech electronics and offers great value.

MiniRay is the only strobe light designed specifically for underground mining. It can easily be adapted to suit any situation in which 360 degrees of light might be distracting. With its highly directional light output, unique triangular shape, and other specialized features, MiniRay creates a distraction-free work environment.

MiniRay has a moisture proof Lexan case, a corrosion free 6/6 glass filled nylon base and powerful, long lasting LED illumination, a virtually indestructible triangular shape, floating circuit board and innovative user-selectable features.
