O'Brien Named President of lanelogic

DALLAS--Feb. 2, 20068, 2006--lanelogic, the Wall Street inspired trading network that conducts used-vehicle trades among automotive dealers nationwide, announced today Jim O'Brien will be its President.

"I am very pleased to have Jim serve as lanelogic's president. Jim brings unique expertise and broad technical insight to lanelogic. He has an appreciation for the complex and competitive forces in today's automotive retail world," said Bruce Thompson, CEO and a founder of lanelogic.

During a career spent entirely within the automotive industry, O'Brien has promoted inventory management technology to improve dealer operating efficiency and to help dealers sell more vehicles at higher gross margins. O'Brien maintains a passion for providing technology solutions to dealers.

Prior to joining lanelogic, O'Brien served as the founder and Executive Director for the Internet Remarketing Business Roundtable (IRBR.org). IRBR is an organization which develops standards and best practices for online vehicle remarketing. O'Brien served as the Director of Used Vehicles for both Sonic Automotive and AutoNation. He honed his retail technology skills at Cobalt Group and at iMotors.com. O'Brien was a management consultant at both J.D. Power and Associates and A.T. Kearney. His automotive career began at Toyota Motor Manufacturing. He holds an MBA from Wake Forest University's Babcock Graduate School of Management and a BA degree from Wittenberg University.

"The industry has made great strides adopting technology, but many dealers still fall short in their use of technology. Our trading services help a dealer sell more cars with less days supply and dramatically lower wholesale loss risk. If you're not buying and selling vehicles via lanelogic, then you're simply not selling as many used cars -- or making as much gross -- as you could be. lanelogic fundamentally changes wholesaling nationwide," said O'Brien.

About lanelogic

lanelogic is the used-vehicle market-maker that uses real-time sales data to conduct electronic trading among automotive dealers nationwide. lanelogic acts as a buying agent, discerning which used vehicles specific dealerships are most likely to sell quickly for the optimal sales price, and which vehicles those dealerships should trade or send to lanelogic's Fresh Trade Auction. lanelogic's 45-day buyback guarantee on all lanelogic-provided vehicles means that lanelogic eliminates the high risks of aged used-vehicle inventory -- the single-greatest risk faced by automobile dealerships that buy, sell, or trade used vehicles. Additionally, lanelogic reduces dealers' inventory risks by providing the nation's first Fresh Trade Auction site as an efficient alternative for those vehicles that cannot be matched to a franchise store.

Launched in November of 2005 in Dallas, Texas, partnered with Internet pioneer VB2, owned by $2.2 Billion Market Cap Copart, Inc., lanelogic's credibility is bolstered by its leadership in the form of CEO Bruce Thompson, former CEO and founder of American Auto Exchange. Strategic alliances with VB2, American Auto Exchange, American Broadcasting Company Auctions (ABC Auctions), SGS, and Great American Insurance Group mean that lanelogic is uniquely positioned to gather the needed inventory intelligence, to deliver the industry's first, live guaranteed bid network.
