Event Information:
For the first time in American history, we have 5 living generations!
Each generation has its own unique core values. And thus, each holds its own attitudes toward consumer decisions. Therefore, marketers must understand generational influences in order to reach and persuade their target markets.
In this presentation, Chuck Underwood will teach you how to use Generational Strategy to successfully target the Generation X:
-- How Generation X's formative-years' experiences and teachings have molded its core values
-- How those core values have molded attitudes that will guide Generation X's decision-making throughout its lifetime
-- Demonstration of how marketers, advertisers, and the media can convert that knowledge into successful strategies
-- 30-second television commercials and print ads that are effectively strategized for this generation
-- Presentation of specific case studies.
Chuck Underwood will teach you how to unlock the secrets of a generation.
Presenter's Biography:
Chuck Underwood is the founder/principal of The Generational Imperative, Inc. (TGI), which provides strategic consulting and research to companies and organizations on the subject of generational influences on the marketplace and workplace. Chuck began his research of generational dynamics in the late 1980s, well before the discipline came to the widespread attention of corporate America.
The Ohio University School of Business grad had spent his earlier career in the mass media of radio and television, first as an award-winning broadcast journalist and national sports play-by-play announcer, and then as a creator and producer of programming. He has hosted and produced shows that have aired nationally and internationally. His own productions have attracted such prominent advertisers as Wendy's, Coca Cola, United Healthcare, Converse, Adidas, Dr. Pepper, 1-800-COLLECT, and others.
Chuck's media career and generational study merged several years ago, when he produced a one-hour television special for public television, entitled "America's Generations: The Silents."
Soon after that show aired, he received a phone call from a speakers' bureau in Washington, D.C., asking him to speak on the subject of Generational Marketing Strategy at the prestigious National Summit On Retirement Savings, which gathered nearly 300 senior executives in the financial-services industries for a three-day business conference. Sharing the speakers' roster with President George W. Bush and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Chuck's presentation on the subject stirred instant requests from Summit delegates to consult their companies and speak to their national conventions.
Chuck Underwood has taken his rightful place as a preeminent authority on generational study. Traveling coast-to-coast for consulting assignments, seminars, research, and keynotes, he also guest-lectures at universities, authors newspaper columns on generational dynamics, and is regularly interviewed by news organizations nationally and internationally, from NBC Nightly News to FORTUNE magazine to the New York Times.
