One thousandth of a second the difference for Jason Line

Chandler, Ariz. (February 26, 2006) - Jason Line, driver of the KB
Racing LLC Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, advanced to
the quarterfinal round of today's eliminations at the 22nd annual NHRA
Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals.

Line, who qualified No. 3, turned back Kurt Johnson in the opening round
and found himself matched against Kurt's father, Warren Johnson, in the
second round.

Against Warren, Line was near perfect but one thousandth of a second
cost the Terrell, N.C. driver the race. Working on his techniques at
the starting lights, Line was .001 of a second too fast and red lighted,
giving WJ a free trip to the semifinals.

"It might as well have been a second or two too quick," said Line,
"because the results would have been the same. That said, the team did
have a good weekend with both cars and we showed improvement over the
opening race."

Line leaves the Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals No. 5 in the NHRA Pro
Stock POWERade point standings with 110 points. Line's teammate Greg
Anderson leads the point standings with 216 points.

The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series now moves to the East Coast when
the ACDelco Gatornationals unfolds at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway, March
16-19.

ESPN2 will air a repeat of the elimination show early Tuesday morning
(Feb. 28) from 3-5 a.m. Television times are Eastern Time (ET) and
subject to change at anytime. Check local listings.
