Localiza Reports EBITDA of R$285.8 Million in 2005

Net Revenues Grew by 38.2% and EBITDA Grew by 36.1%

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil, Feb. 24 -- Localiza Rent A Car S.A. (Bovespa: RENT3), with 310 branches in nine countries in Latin America, 33 years of existence, reports today its results for the fourth quarter 2005 (4Q05). The following financial and operational information, except when and otherwise indicated, is presented in Brazilian reais (R$) and in U.S. GAAP, in accordance with the Company's managerial reports.

  -- 38.2% growth in Net Revenues in 2005 and 17.3% in 4Q05;
  -- 36.1% growth in EBITDA in 2005 and 35.4% in 4Q05;
  -- 29.5% growth in business volume (daily rentals) in 2005 and
     40.1% in 4Q05;
  -- 25.0% fleet growth in 2005;
  -- 17.6% growth in Net Income in 2005 and 12.0% in 4Q05;
  -- ROE of 36.7% in 2005
