Lions Club of Baton Rouge With HurricaneChopper.com National Campaign Unveils 'The Hurricane Katrina-Rita Relief Bike'

Congressman Bobby Jindal was the honorary speaker and dignitary to unveil the "Hurricane Katrina-Rita Relief Bike" - "HurricaneChopper.com" national campaign for presenter, Lions Club of Baton Rouge, Inc., and in support of the Louisiana Lions Clubs business and community leaders from throughout the State.
Deep South Choppers of Baton Rouge, custom designed, built and donated the $60,000 patriotic themed bike with colors red, silver and blue and a scene on the tank that depicts a helpless hero overlooking the Louisiana Gulf Coast as Hurricane Katrina moves onshore, trying to save her people.
After the unveiling today, the Hurricane Chopper will make its first national debut at Daytona Bike Week March 3 - March 12, 2006, with additional Louisiana and U.S. tour dates to be announced on the HurricaneChopper.com website.
Donations of $10 per ticket are available and will be sold by the Baton Rouge Lions Club, Louisiana Lions Clubs, sponsor's, and online at HurricaneChopper.com.
The campaign began when Deep South Choppers wanted to help the people of Louisiana and joined forces with the Lions Club of Baton Rouge. Others sponsors followed to help make this dream a reality.
The (7) month million dollar fundraising campaign will keep Americans everywhere reminded of the problems Louisiana still faces. It will help to remind everyone, there is still so much to be done.
In development stages and prior to launching the national campaign, the project has already begun to touch the hearts of many Americans as word of mouth traveled. Because additional Lions Clubs are picking up on the fundraiser, offering assistance in selling tickets, the campaign is growing daily.
The Hurricane Bike website HurricaneChopper.com will be launched by VACO Technology in Memphis, TN.
