Compete, Inc. Revs Up Automotive Practice with New Director and Hub in Detroit; Company's Consumer Behavior Insights Steer Market Performance for Global Automotive Brands

BOSTON--Feb. 2, 20061, 2006--Compete, Inc. today announced the addition of Dennis Bulgarelli to its automotive practice and the company's expansion in Detroit. As Director, Dennis will leverage his 25 years of automotive research and strategic planning experience to help automotive manufacturers quantify in-market vehicle demand and conversion, and vehicle competitiveness.

Dennis' appointment follows a successful year for Compete's automotive practice. Compete added eight automobile manufacturers to its customer list in 2005 and now works with such brands as DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai Motor America.

Prior to joining Compete, Dennis worked at various advertising agencies in Detroit helping Ford Motor Company and General Motors Corporation, identify positioning and customer strategies that supported the launch of some of the biggest brands in the industry, such as the Ford F-Series, Ford Taurus, Chevy Silverado and Chevy Tahoe. Most recently, Dennis served as Senior Vice President, Director of Account Planning at Campbell-Ewald where he was responsible for positioning and consumer insights for all Chevrolet Truck brands. He has also worked at J. Walter Thompson where he worked closely with future product planning teams at Ford Motor Company to understand customer motivations and acceptance of new vehicle models.
