Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB:AIDO), A Leading Radio Frequency Identification/RFID Company celebrated crossing the finish line at Daytona 500 with all Goodyear Eagle Racing Tires embedded with Advanced ID RFID Tags in all NASCAR Tires
Advanced ID Corporation President & CEO Dan Finch sent all Advanced ID Corp team members checkered flags today to celebrate the Daytona 500 as Jimmie Johnson won the action backed, exciting conclusion as he past teammate Brian Vickers and took the lead just as a caution came out. Johnson was in the front of the pack on the restart, the winning driver as the single-file pack of cars sprinted to the finish line of the 48th running of NASCAR's Daytona 500.
Advanced ID has been collaborating with Goodyear Vehicle Systems to develop and manufacture the RFID tags embedded in the tires used in the 2006 NASCAR season. This includes the Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck series races.
The Daytona race was the first to feature all race tires on all cars with the embedded Advanced ID RFID tag. Goodyear worked with Advanced ID to develop a RFID tag to meet the extremely harsh environment of NACAR racing. Advanced ID has a production contract with Goodyear to provide the tags for all NASCAR races throughout the 2006 season.
Advanced ID has been working with Goodyear on this program since the middle of 2005. According to Dan Finch, President and CEO of Advanced ID, "We are pleased that we were able to cross the finish line with Goodyear and that they chose us to collaborate with them on the development and manufacture of their RFID tire tag. Our team members were celebrated at locations around the globe that receive the greatest and most exciting race that NASCAR hosts. We sent out checkered flags as a thank you to our small team of committed NASCAR fans. This was a very big day for our company and it was a terrific and exciting race! We also congratulate Jimmie Johnson and NASCAR on a great day of racing."
Advanced ID Corp. plans the future development and release of ISO and AIAG standards-based generic tire tag for use by global tire manufacturers.
