OUTDOOR CHANNEL CAMERAS FOCUSED ON PERRIS MARCH 4

RAIN FORCES SATURDAY'S PAS POSTPONEMENT

The Outdoor Channel will cover USAC's CRA Sprint Car race at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway March 4, bringing the excitement of one of America's most competitive racing series to race fans across the country.

The race is scheduled to be aired at 5 pm April 1, one of 20 Outdoor Channel telecasts of USAC racing events this season, and will feature the ongoing battle for supremacy between drivers like Cory "The Kruser" Kruseman, Damion "The Demon" Gardner and Rip "The Ripper" Williams. Williams won the 2004 CRA title, while Gardner was last year's champion and Kruseman leads this year's standings.

Rain forced postponement of last Saturday's scheduled race at Perris, leaving just a one-point gap between Kruseman and Gardner in the current standings going into the televised race. Danny Sheridan, Mike Spencer and Jesse (The Rocket) Hockett round out the top-five in the standings, while Williams, the Feb. 4 winner at Perris, is sixth in the points seeking his 100th sanctioned feature victory.

Reknowned broadcaster Jack Arute will anchor the broadcast with the assistance of color analyst Rob Klepper and pit reporter Brienne Pedigo. The team also covered USAC's 2006 series openers Feb. 22 at Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway.

The March 4 race will be the 40th under USAC/CRA sanction at the 1/2-mile dirt Perris oval.
