Contestants Win Prizes for Predicting Lap Leaders in NASCAR's Three
Elite Series

 

GASTONIA, N.C. (Feb. 17, 2006) - In 2006, WIX Filters once again will
hold its WIX Filters Lap Leader Award Contest, an online contest that
gives NASCAR fans weekly opportunities to predict which drivers in each
of the top three NASCAR series will win the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award
and earn prizes including an all-expense-paid trip to the 2007 NEXTEL
Cup Series race weekend in Las Vegas.

The contest made its debut last year as a natural extension of the WIX
Filters sponsorship of the weekly driver award and its status as the #1
filter in NASCAR. WIX Filters are trusted by more professional race

from impurities that can cause damage and mean the difference between a
machine capable of capturing the checkered flag and one destined to

for the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award contest is an all-expense-paid trip
to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the 2007 NEXTEL Cup race. 

The WIX Filters Lap Leader Award is presented to the driver in each
event in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series who leads the most laps. At the end of the season, the
driver who has won the most WIX Filters Lap Leader Awards receives the
overall prize.
