SUBWAY Restaurants Substantially Increases 2006 NASCAR Sponsorship Presence
- Relationships with Greg Biffle, Roush Racing; Two NEXTEL Cup Series Events -
MILFORD, Conn., Feb. 16 -- SUBWAY(R) Restaurants, the world's largest submarine sandwich chain, will heighten sponsorship efforts with NASCAR's Greg Biffle of Roush Racing in its third year of team sponsorship.
SUBWAY(R) restaurants made its first NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series appearance as a team sponsor in 2001. Today, SUBWAY(R) restaurants are set to be the primary sponsor of the No. 16 National Guard/SUBWAY(R) Ford Fusion at 11 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races in 2006, including two entitlement races. The SUBWAY Fresh 500(TM) will take place at Phoenix International Raceway on April 22 and the SUBWAY 500(TM) at Martinsville Speedway on October 22.

Biffle finished the 2005 NEXTEL Cup season second in the point standings and is considered a leading contender for this year's title. Last year, Biffle led all NEXTEL Cup Series drivers with six victories.
