Best Buy Haas CNC Racing Adds SanDisk as Associate Sponsor of Car Number 66 in Nextel Cup Series

MINNEAPOLIS--Feb. 16, 2006--Best Buy Haas CNC Racing and SanDisk(R) Corporation today announced that SanDisk has signed on as an associate sponsor of the No. 66 Chevrolet, driven by Jeff Green, in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.

SanDisk, the world's largest supplier of flash memory data storage products, will have its logo displayed on the quarter panels of the No. 66 Best Buy entry throughout the 2006 season. In addition, the SanDisk sponsorship will be highlighted on team uniforms, trailers and merchandising items. SanDisk will also have a presence in the Best Buy Fun Zone Technology vehicle, a mobile unit featuring interactive technology displays that will make appearances at select races.

"We're excited to partner with Best Buy and Haas CNC Racing," said Bo Ericsson, SanDisk's vice president of corporate marketing. "Our company is synonymous with innovation and quality, and we feel the Best Buy Haas CNC team exemplify those values. Best Buy has been a great partner to our company and this sponsorship is an opportunity to promote our brand and remind fans that many SanDisk products are available at their local Best Buy store."

"SanDisk coming on board is the first of many exciting sponsorship announcements for the Best Buy Haas CNC Racing program," said Mike Linton, chief marketing officer, Best Buy. "SanDisk is a leader in the industry and we're proud to have their support as we build a name for Best Buy Haas CNC Racing."

While this sponsorship is SanDisk's first foray into auto racing, the company's products have been around race tracks for years. Many professional photographers use SanDisk high-performance, high-capacity storage cards in their digital cameras, while a number of race fans likely carry SanDisk storage cards in their multimedia mobile phones.

Members of the Motorsports press are increasingly using USB flash drives in place of floppy disks, compact discs with read/write capability and other storage devices in their personal computers and laptops. SanDisk is the largest seller of USB flash drives in the United States.

"Our goal is to have everyone in racing use our products, including the fans," said Ericsson. "SanDisk is all about speed and technology, so it makes perfect sense for us to be associated with Motorsports, where excelling in both of those areas is a primary goal."

The SanDisk logo will appear on the No. 66 Best Buy Chevrolet in the Feb. 16 Gatorade Duel 150 event, and the Feb. 19, 2006 Daytona 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup race at Daytona International Speedway.
