John Cole, a strategic adviser to many major multi-national companies, as well as an important member of the leading international law firm Simmons and Simmons, last week declared that China is planning to have at least 10% of its automobiles to be bio fuel compatible by 2020. As a consequence to this, that country would need to generate 22 million tons of bio-ethanol or another type of bio fuel per year. However, since China only has the capability to producing half that amount, it is beginning to make plans to import the remaining 50%.
