AutoSoft Ranked 'Most Recommended' DMS; Dealership personnel responding to recent NADA survey

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa.--Feb. 1, 20065, 2006--Dealer management system provider AutoSoft International - ASI was ranked the "most recommended" dealer management system (DMS) among a field of 11 DMS system providers in a recent National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) survey of auto dealership personnel.

AutoSoft is a provider of DMS accounting, payroll, desking, service, parts, bodyshop and F&I business software. The company has been in business for more than 20 years. The company today is considered the third-largest DMS provider, based on such criteria as installation base and revenue.

The NADA survey, released last fall, was based on 1,434 telephone surveys of such dealership personnel as dealers, owners and general managers; general sales managers and new car sales managers; office managers and controllers; parts managers; and, service managers. The survey was conducted for NADA by Friedman-Swift Associates.

Among the DSP vendors which survey respondents were questioned about, AutoSoft ranked highest to the question, "Would you be very likely, somewhat likely or not at all likely to recommend (your DSP vendor) to another dealership?" Of the AutoSoft users questioned for the survey, 82 percent said they would be very likely, or somewhat likely to recommend the AutoSoft DMS to another dealership. This rating puts AutoSoft well ahead of the rankings of other DMS providers surveyed on this metric.

"For years AutoSoft has been known for its low-price, 30-day-contract DMS solution," noted AutoSoft CEO Charlie Prophet, "and over time the AutoSoft DMS has earned its reputation for providing a full-function, fully capable DMS for running multiple dealerships and multiple franchises. We're happy to continue to be known for our affordable, simpler solution - and this survey highlights the advantages the AutoSoft DMS offers new-car dealers, especially over the Big 2."

The AutoSoft ranking puts the company's overall dealership satisfaction among the most recommended ahead of all others that were included in the dealership personnel survey, including Reynolds & Reynolds, ADP Dealer Services and all others. AutoSoft also ranked higher than Reynolds & Reynolds and ADP for customer service department satisfaction, flexibility of software to adapt to business needs, and systems speed and effectiveness of technical training provided by the DMS provider.

The AutoSoft DMS is a PC- and Windows-based system. It runs on hardware many dealers may already have in use in their stores. The system features web-based software updates, quick back-up to CD, and 12-month historical records and lookup from the system on screen. These features save office managers from having to print each month's records for a running year's history. AutoSoft does not charge for the creation of a specific report for the dealer as many other DMS providers do, often for as much as $150 per report created.

The recent NADA dealer satisfaction survey highlights why dealers such as Buddy Jones of Buddy Jones Ford/Lincoln-Mercury and Buddy Jones Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, both in Greenwood, Mississippi, and Heber Springs Ford, LLC in Heber Springs, Arkansas switched to the AutoSoft dealer management system. He switched to AutoSoft two years ago. The system is installed in each of his stores.

"I can look at another dealer right in the eyes today and tell him in a heartbeat, you have to look at AutoSoft, whether the dealer has one or more stores and one or more franchises," Jones says. "I'm real pleased, my office manager is real pleased, and I tell dealer friends that they have to look at this system. I can recommend AutoSoft in complete confidence and candor. I did my research,"

Headquartered in West Middlesex, Penn., AutoSoft employs nearly 100 in programming, application development and R&D; technical support and customer service; and, sales and marketing. AutoSoft representatives and distributors are located throughout the U.S.
