Redwood Redesigned CAA Magazine to Reach 1.5 Million Members

TORONTO, Feb. 14, 2006 -- The revamped CAA members-only magazine, formerly known as Leisureways, Journey and Going Places will be delivered to 1.5 million mailboxes across Canada this week. Published by Redwood Custom Communications of Toronto, the redesigned magazine takes a fresh creative approach to the subjects of travel and automotive issues and CAA news. The 84-page premiere issue features newsstand-quality art direction and well-known Canadians, including television personality Rick Mercer and writer Kim Izzo. Three additional issues are planned for 2006.

As one of CAA's primary means of communication with its members, the magazine is of critical importance to the organization's marketing plan. Under the creative and strategic direction of publisher Redwood Custom Communications of Toronto, the redesign is intended to increase the relevancy and effectiveness of the magazine as a marketing tool.

"We've always been known as the safest, smartest choice in emergency road service, and today we offer even more. CAA is the most trusted resource in roadside problem solving, travel and insurance, as well as the most vocal advocate for motorists' safety. The new magazine will help deliver these messages to our members in ways that are more relevant to their everyday lives," says CAA's Boyana Tapia.

As one of Canada's largest-circulating magazines, CAA magazine offers a wealth of opportunities to advertisers trying to reach the lucrative travel and lifestyle market. "The new magazine is an editorial and visual showcase founded on CAA brand values and delivers features geared to the lifestyle and travel interests of the CAA member. The magazine reinforces CAA's reputation as a trusted source of travel expertise as well as a great source for travel and home services such as insurance. The redesigned, refocused magazine is also a boon to advertisers who will reap the benefits of reaching CAA's targeted, engaged readers," said Redwood's Maria Deotto.
