Defective Michelin HXMXM4 tire installed on Ford Fusion 2006

Hello. I bought a Ford Fusion on December 21 2005. After just one month and
just 2200 kilometers on the odometer, a tire just lost all the tread area. I
am including some pictures so you can see this. The tire is a Michelin
HXMXM4 225-50-17.

 

I have called both Ford and Michelin customer service here in Mexico, and
have tried to contact the counterparts in the US for both companies with no
success, as FORD is from the US and this Michelin tires as USA made. I see
this tire problem just the way the firestone tires failed some time ago with
ford trucks. I am asking Michelin Mexico or Ford Mexico for the warranty and
replacement of the missing tire, and a complete evaluation of the other 3
remaining tires, but I get no answer from any company.

 

Now, my car has been carried to a ford dealer and I am waiting for their
news, but I donīt know if they will honor the warranty as the Michelinīs
Mexico area representavite (Pilar Maldonado, phone number +52- 442-2961600),
has not even told me when my request will be answered. I also had a problem
with the 6 cd changer, but this was fixed in a couple of days. This car just
sounds as a lemon car, doesnīt it?

 

This is basically the same problem saw in the past in firestone tires on
ford vehicles, I have plenty of pictures of this I can send you plenty of
them so you can decide if this a defective tire or I just got bad luck and
did not even knew how to inflate my tires at 33 psi so is my fault that all
the tread of the tire just came of the tire.

 

Since this is a US card with tires made in the US, I would like to know to
whom do I have to talk in order to file a complaint in the USA, since the
Mexican counterparts in Mexico doesnīt even try to help and havenīt even
been able to give me a report number (ford mexico) because they donīt want
to have any responsibility about this type of problems.

 

Remember that the Ford Fusion is made in Mexico, so, anywhere in the world
you might purchase this car, you would be getting the same car, so, please
check that you donīt get this Michelin hxmxm4 defective tires and ask the
dealer to install goodyear or any other quality tires you might like, even
other type of michelin tires, just avoid the defective ones.
