MINDY’S  MONDAY MINUTE 
Troxel  Captures First Win 
Moorpark,  Calif.  - (February 12, 2006)  Don Schumacher Racing’s Melanie 
Troxel picked up her first professional Top Fuel  dragster win on Sunday at the 
CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals at the  Auto Club Raceway at Pomona 
(Calif.). 
Troxel, one of the Hostess Racing  Divas, piloted her Skull Gear dragster to 
a 4.58-second victory and became the  eighth woman in NHRA history to win in a 
professional  category. 
Troxel defeated a slew of male  competitors in the first race of the season, 
including Clay Millican, reigning  Top Fuel champion and teammate Tony 
Schumacher, Morgan Lucas in semifinals and  David Baca in finals. 
Another Ringers racer joined  Troxel in Winner’s Circle on Sunday…to no one’
s surprise it was reigning Pro  Stock champion, Greg Anderson. 
Anderson and his Pontiac GTO  thumped Mike Edwards with a 6.665/207.75 mph 
run to amass his 40th  career win. 
Even though Ringers racer Ron  Capps fell to Robert Hight in Funny Car 
finals, his Brut Dodge Stratus team  should happy for the great start to their 
season as being one of the most, if  not the most, consistent teams all weekend 
long. 
The National Hot Rod Association  heads to Firebird International Raceway 
just outside of Phoenix for the Checker  Schuck’s Kragen NHRA Nationals, February 
24-26.
