UAW-DaimlerChrysler Exhibition Reveals Autoworkers' Artistic Side
WHAT: Opening reception for DaimlerChrysler employee "Artists at Work" exhibition.
Artists at Work features creative works of DaimlerChrysler employees from across the country.
WHO: UAW and DaimlerChrysler Corporation officials will be in attendance to recognize employees who represent a cross section of union and management, ranging from assembly line workers to engineers and product designers.
Eighty-five employees have work in the show, and most are expected to attend the opening, which is not open to the public.
WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 16 5-7 p.m. WHERE: UAW-DaimlerChrysler National Training Center 2211 East Jefferson Avenue (at Chene) 1st Floor Detroit, Mich.
DETAILS: The exhibit of paintings, sculpture, blown glass, photographs and other visual media comprises 154 pieces, selected in a competition judged by art professionals.
