Vehicle Comparisons Happening Every Two Seconds Online Via Autobytel's Automotive Information Center

ORLANDO, Fla.--Feb. 11, 2006--Autobytel Inc.'s Automotive Information Center (AIC) division today announced its AutoComparator tool is processing vehicle comparisons every two seconds across all vehicle makes, models and trims sold in North America, which represents a significant milestone in AIC's twenty-four year history. The AIC AutoComparator is found on more than 25 Web sites, including those of many manufacturers, as well as comprehensive sites for car research such as www.autosite.com.

With an average of 1.5 million comparisons a month, AIC provides automotive manufacturers, dealers and consumers with competitive information on specific vehicle data, including General Information, such as estimated market price; Performance, such as MPG; Convenience Features, such as air conditioning; and Dimensions, such as front and rear legroom. AIC's consumer-facing data and Web applications help consumers make well-informed car-buying decisions.

From OEM Web sites to popular consumer portals, visitors can become more informed and more educated about their vehicle purchase decisions when doing a side-by-side vehicle comparison powered by AIC objective data and technology. AIC's data and AutoComparator tool also powers the top Spanish-language automotive portals, such as www.Autoahorros.com, to make the car-buying process friendlier for the largest minority group in the U.S.(1)

"AIC is an industry pioneer which automotive manufacturers, dealers and consumers alike rely on for objective, extensive and accurate car data," said Autobytel President and CEO Rick Post. "As AIC nears its twenty-fifth anniversary and achieves this significant milestone, we're focused on continuing to improve the necessary tools and data shoppers require for crucial hands-on research that reduces buyers' remorse and increases positive brand awareness for auto manufacturers."

AIC executives are available today at the 89th Annual NADA Convention at Autobytel Booth #4000 to answer questions on the AutoComparator tool and provide a demonstration.(2)
