Len Hunt, EVP and COO to Directly Oversee Sales Functions

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 10 -- Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA) today announced a corporate reorganization to better align resources in support of the company's aggressive sales goals.

Under the new structure, corporate sales operations report directly to Len Hunt, executive vice president and chief operating officer, which eliminates the current position of vice president, sales. Phil Kelley, currently vice president, sales, will assume the role of director, Central Region.

"With the ambitious goal to break through the 300,000 mark in vehicle sales this year, it is critical that we place a priority on sales operations and strengthen our regional representation," said Mr. J.H. "Having Len Hunt personally oversee sales operations and placing the talents of Phil Kelley where we need them most, we have realigned the management team to support our most important priorities."

Hunt added, "As we continue to accelerate our U.S. growth, it is vital that our sales operations and dealer partners work together as a flawless team. I am excited by the strength of our overall management and this new structure that allows me to focus my efforts on achieving our aggressive goals."
