Chicago - February 10, 2006: Today the Dodge brand is kicking off the 2006 Chicago Auto Show with a fanny-tastic sporting event involving 150 contestants competing in the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs challenge. This mega-sized version of the classic musical chairs game comes with a fun twist at the end for final contestants. Once the DJ thins the crowd down to seven finalists, the competition will move inside a 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab with the biggest cab on the market.

"Musical chairs is a universally favorite game and we at Dodge just mega-sized the game with more at stake than just a chair," said Jason Vines, Vice President Communications, Chrysler Group. "The Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs contestants will spend time sizing up the Dodge Ram Mega Cab with the industry's most innovative seating and storage configurations, including the first reclining rear seats available in a pickup truck. One person will go home a Dodge Ram Mega Cab winner."

In the final round, seven contestants will scoot in and out of each row of seats as the music plays; when the music stops the contestant without a seat is eliminated and the last six finalists occupy all six seats inside the Dodge Ram Mega Cab.

The last person to land in the driver's seat when the music stops is the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs grand prize winner and will receive a new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Mega Cab 4X4 with a 5.7 liter HEMI® engine and the biggest cab on the market. The first runner-up will receive a special musical chairs prize package that includes an iPod Nano, two Dodge tailgating chairs and $750. The five remaining runners-up will receive an iPod Nano and two Dodge tailgating chairs.

More than 6,200 interested participants entered online at www.Dodge.com/RamMegaMusicalChairs between Jan. 24 and Feb. 6. A random drawing selected 150 people to participate in the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs event. All participants received entry for them and a guest into the 2006 Chicago Auto Show.

Before the official competition begins, teen members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago will remind adults how this classic game is played by demonstrating the rules of play and lending their expertise to the contest participants. And, in celebration of the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs challenge and games for all ages, the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund will donate $6,000 - or $1,000 for each seat in the Dodge Ram Mega Cab - to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.

Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs continues the Chrysler Group's tradition of creating extreme contests at the Chicago Auto Show with a new vehicle as a prize. In 2004, contestants competed in a Stand By Your Van contest featuring Chrysler and Dodge minivans - and lasted more than 64 hours - and in 2005, a Dodge Dakota Pickup Pucker-Up contest lasted nearly eight hours.

In the quest to make pickup truck cabs more spacious, more comfortable and more practical, the Dodge Ram Mega Cab extends beyond the competition with the largest pickup cab ever. With comfort for six adult passengers and their gear, the Dodge Ram Mega Cab is in a class all its own. The Dodge Ram Mega Cab's 143.2 cu.-ft. of interior space features the industry's most innovative seating and storage configurations, including the first reclining rear seats available in a pickup truck, tilting back from 22- to 37-degree seatback angle for added comfort. The rear-passenger area of the Dodge Ram Mega Cab offers best-in-class leg room of 44.2 inches and the rear seats also split 60/40, fold down and move forward, providing numerous configurations for maximum interior cargo capacity and flexibility.
