Agile Materials & Technologies, Inc. and Paratek Microwave, Inc. Settle Patent Litigation
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. & COLUMBIA, Md.--Feb. 9, 2006--Agile Materials & Technologies, Inc. ("Agile") and Paratek Microwave, Inc. ("Paratek"), today announced that they have reached a settlement agreement on all litigation between the two parties. Pursuant to the agreement, the parties are dismissing their claims against each other with prejudice. The terms of the settlement are confidential.About Agile Materials & Technologies, Inc.
Agile Materials & Technologies is a privately funded start up company based in Santa Barbara, California. Agile is a leading technology developer of tunable/adaptable RF front-end components and subsystem solutions targeting networked communications and mobile data applications within the defense, communications and automotive industries. Agile's approach to tunable components is based on the innovative use of thin film ferroelectric technology to phase shifters for phased-array or smart antenna systems; tunable antenna and amplifier impedance matching networks; electronically steerable antenna subsystems; and tunable filters. Agile's devices can operate at very low power levels over broad frequency ranges while tuning nearly instantaneously.
About Paratek
Paratek Microwave, Inc. designs and manufactures adaptive RF front-end component solutions for mobile wireless applications requiring multi-mode and multi-band operation. Paratek's product offerings cover four major applications including adaptive impedance matching modules (AIMM), high efficiency tunable power amplifiers, antenna tuner products, and broadband pre-selectors and RF front-ends. At the core of all Paratek products is its proprietary tunable materials technology, ParaScan(TM), coupled with integrated, "self-correcting" control solutions. The use of adaptive impedance technology simultaneously improves power amplifier efficiency and linearity, signal link margin, antenna size, and battery life by optimizing RF power transfer throughout the system under all modulation protocols. These products also incorporate Paratek's 3-D miniaturization technology, ParaStak(TM), enabling best-in-class footprint reduction. Paratek is a privately held company headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, with offices in Nashua, New Hampshire.
