Jason Line now turns attention to season-opening Winternationals
after birth of his first child and testing

POMONA, Calif. (February 8, 2006) - Due to the birth of his first child
(Jack Vincent Line), Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing LLC/Summit
Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, got a late start on his
preseason testing.

Line didn't arrive into Las Vegas until Monday but quickly made up for
the lost time and feels that he is ready for the 2006 season-opening
NHRA CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway on the
grounds of the LA County Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., this weekend.

"I can honestly say that testing in my book took a back seat to my wife
and I enjoying being first time parents," said Line, who finished second
in the 2004 NHRA POWERade Pro Stock point standings and third in 2005.

Line went on to say, "Greg (Anderson, teammate) has been testing a good
deal over the off-season and spent a couple more days on the track in
Vegas than I did. Since both cars are set up nearly identical, what he
learned in my absence can be applied to my car, so we're not as behind
as it may seem. I did miss some seat time, but that's about it."

Now the new papa looks to Pomona and the start of the 23-race NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series. "This new season looks tighter than ever
and you can't single out one individual who is going to run away with
things," stated Line. "There are too many good cars.

"I'm cautiously optimistic about Pomona. We've had the most productive
off-season that we've ever had. Now we must translate any new found
gains to the race track."

Qualifying for Line and his KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro
Stock Pontiac GTO begins with one session each on Thursday and Friday
scheduled for 2 p.m. and concludes with two additional sessions on
Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Line begins his quest for the
CarQuest Winternationals Pro Stock title on Sunday with eliminations for
all classes beginning at 11 a.m. All times are local Pomona time (PST)
and subject to change at anytime.

Qualifying highlights for the 46th annual NHRA CARQUEST Auto Parts
Winternationals can be seen on ESPN2 on Saturday (Feb. 11) from 10 p.m.
until 12 midnight. ESPN2 will also air same-day television coverage of
eliminations from 7:30 until 10:30 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 12). The
elimination show repeats early Tuesday morning from 3-5 a.m. Television
times are Eastern Time (ET) and subject to change at anytime. Check
local listings.
