Allstate Bumper Car Derby Crashes into the 2006 Chicago Auto Show; Smashing Attraction Highlights Allstate's Auto Show Debut

NORTHBROOK, Ill.--Feb. 8, 2006--Surrounded by the newest and most technologically advanced cars in the world, Allstate is using a one of a kind bumper car experience to promote protection and peace of mind. Allstate's Bumper Car Derby is sharing the floor with leading automakers from around the globe at this year's Chicago Auto Show. Visitors are invited to take the wheel and cruise through bumper-to-bumper traffic while discovering how Allstate is revolutionizing auto insurance.

The prevalence of auto accidents in America is alarming, with one happening somewhere in the country about every five seconds - a grand total of roughly six million accidents a year. In fact, within three years, 30 percent of drivers will experience a collision. Allstate thinks that's too many.

"Allstate's Bumper Car Derby brings insurance to life, reinforcing the idea that auto insurance should be flexible to meet all drivers' needs," said Patrick Riordan, Allstate agency owner in Bensenville, Illinois. Riordan is one of 33 exclusive Allstate agents that will be bumping into auto show visitors around Allstate's Bumper Car Derby between February 10th and the 19th at McCormick Place.

This is the first time Allstate Insurance Company has ridden into the Chicago Auto Show. The company's traveling bumper car exhibition made a smashing debut last month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit where nearly 7,000 people knocked and bumped their way into learning about the company's Your Choice Auto product line.
