RideTones(R) Included in Grammy(R) Award Winner Gift Bags
Music's biggest stars to benefit from RideTones(R)' unique vehicle customization
WATERLOO, ON, Feb. 7 -- Intelligent Mechatronic Systems Inc. (IMS), a world leader in the automotive aftermarket and telematics industries, is pleased to announce the inclusion of RideTones(R) in gift bags to winners of the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. The gift bags are provided by Distinctive Assets of Los Angeles, California.
RideTones(R) enables users to add audio tones, such as music, movie and sound FX clips, to various vehicle functions. The process is similar to downloading MP3 files to a cell phone; users download tones from the RideTones(R) website and assign a tone to a specific vehicle function: lock, unlock, trunk release, hood release, alarm, ignition start, window open/close and door open/close. Instead of the standard 'beep' that accompanies most vehicle remote keyless systems, users can unlock the car doors to their favourite song. In cases where there is no standard audio indicator (such as the trunk release), RideTones(R) allows one to be added. Audio functions can be further customized to play based on time, date and temperature variables; for example playing 'happy birthday' or voice reminders for appointments.
The Grammy gift bags are among the more prestigious gifts given to entertainment stars during the awards season. With its inclusion in this year's gift bag, RideTones(R) joins the ranks of previous notable gifts such as the Apple iPod(R), a Siemens(TM) cell phone and a Logitech(R) digital camera. Many of those items provide a creative extension of the user's personality, style and taste; RideTones(R) is no exception.
"RideTones(R) provides customers an affordable, straightforward and flexible method to personalize their vehicle", says John Reynolds, Vice President of Business Development at IMS. "While RideTones(R) already has a dedicated following among car customization enthusiasts, this inclusion in the Grammy gift bags clearly demonstrates RideTones(R)' widespread appeal among all vehicle owners and music lovers."
