Federal-Mogul Names Bowers Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Southfeld, Mich - Feb. 6, 2006: Chairman, President and CEO Jose Maria Alapont announces the appointment of William (Steve) Bowers as senior vice president, sales and marketing, member of the Strategy Board and an officer for Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ).

"Steve brings nearly 30 years of international automotive leadership experience to Federal-Mogul," said Alapont. "His strong customer relationships and valuable global expertise will help drive Federal-Mogul's sales and the development of market base to fully support our global profitable growth strategy."

Bowers comes to Federal-Mogul from Delphi Corp., most recently as executive director of sales, marketing and planning for the energy & chassis division. Previously, he was based in Tokyo, Japan, as the Asia-Pacific regional director for Delphi's energy & chassis systems. He was responsible for all aspects of the business for China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia and Saudi Arabia markets, including manufacturing operations, customer service and engineering centers.

Prior to that, he worked as chief engineer and spent four years as technical director for Delphi's European Technical Center. Bowers' early career included positions such as engineering group manager, divisional program manager, powertrain systems development engineer, and control systems engineer at General Motors Corp.

Bowers earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University, Lansing, Michigan. He is the recipient of U.S. and European patents.
