AmeriCredit Expands 'Advantage' Remarketing Initiative; Company Adds More Features in Celebration of Program's First Anniversary

FORT WORTH, Texas--Feb. 6, 2006--AmeriCredit Corp. recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of AmeriCredit Advantage, a comprehensive auto remarketing program unveiled in January 2005. The program provides quality vehicles and excellent service to auto dealers who buy cars at auctions.

To mark the first anniversary of AmeriCredit Advantage, the company is adding another category of vehicles to the program. All cars with the Choice seal are "frontline-ready," which means they are ready for the dealership's lot. Also, like other Advantage vehicles, Choice cars have passed a thorough inspection of their interior, exterior and mechanical components.

"We expanded AmeriCredit Advantage to include a new category of cars for one primary reason -- to continue meeting the buying needs of our dealers," said Scott France, AmeriCredit's executive vice president of consumer services. "Now bidders can choose from an even wider selection of makes, models, years, conditions and mileage -- all backed by AmeriCredit's solid reputation. There really is something for everybody."

As part of AmeriCredit Advantage, vehicles with the Assured seal have passed extensive tests and are fit for a dealership's showroom floor. Also, certain cars with more than 80,000 miles receive AmeriCredit's "80+" seal and a "green light," which assures the vehicles have been mechanically inspected and are reliable and in good working condition.

Throughout the first year of AmeriCredit Advantage, the program reached several important milestones.

-- In April 2005, AmeriCredit added an online tool to the list of Advantage features. The tool, which allows dealers to search for AmeriCredit vehicles via www.americredit.com, is currently being enhanced to appeal to even more bidders.

-- In 2005, ADESA Jacksonville Auto Auction in Jacksonville, Fla., and ADESA Golden Gate Auto Auction in Tracy, Calif., hosted "Elite Sale Events," another feature of AmeriCredit Advantage. These stand-alone auction sales exclusively sell AmeriCredit vehicles and are often held in conjunction with major sporting or promotional events.

-- Throughout 2005, dealers have used AmeriCredit Advantage's Global Arbitration Guidelines to provide consistent methods for resolving issues with AmeriCredit vehicles at any auction.

The company plans to implement the Choice vehicle category at all auctions by this spring. For a list of sale dates for auctions that feature AmeriCredit vehicles, visit http://auctions.americredit.com.

AmeriCredit representatives will be available to discuss AmeriCredit Advantage at the annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention & Exposition in Orlando, Fla., from Feb. 11 through Feb. 14, 2006, Booth 2258.
