Flexcar Supports Blue Bear's Annual ''Music for Youth'' Sold Out Event with Green Shuttles; Carsharing Reduces Parking Congestion and Eases Traffic Hassles in our Neighborhoods

SAN FRANCISCO--Feb. 3, 2006--On Saturday, February 4, 2006, Flexcar will support Blue Bear's Annual "Music for Youth" Benefit. The event is sold out and is anticipated to create the typical parking turmoil associated with large events in San Francisco. Flexcar will be offering "green" transportation services to those attendees with VIP tickets or for performers donating their time to the event. Hybrid vehicles will be used to shuttle attendees to the event.

"As most San Franciscans know, parking for major events in the City is an ongoing frustration. Flexcar is excited about the opportunity to support Blue Bear and their sold-out benefit. It's a great cause for youth in the City and at the same time, helps Flexcar get the word out about carsharing," said Dana Beard, general manager of Flexcar's office in San Francisco.

Proceeds from this benefit will help Blue Bear expand youth music programs and scholarships and continue to provide sliding scale tuition support for low income students. Blue Bear School of Music's nonprofit mission is to provide superior quality and affordable popular music education to aspiring musicians of all ages and skill levels within a supportive and encouraging community. Blue Bear School of Music is San Francisco's leading destination for aspiring musicians of all ages and all skill levels who want to enjoy learning and playing Rock, Popular, Folk, Blues or Jazz music.

Carsharing significantly alleviates parking and traffic hassles by taking cars off the road, yet providing on-demand access to cars when members need them. "San Francisco has embraced carsharing for all its benefits including: reduced congestion, air pollution and cost savings," continued Beard. "We opened in San Francisco in October, primarily in the Financial District, and in less than four months, we've spread across town into several neighborhoods. Our members are enjoying the freedom of having a car without the cost and hassles of ownership -- including never having to pay for gas, mileage, parking and insurance, plus the use of hybrid vehicles that are good for the environment."

Flexcar members have on-demand access to a fleet of low-emission vehicles, which are clustered in the City's downtown Financial District and in numerous neighborhoods: North Beach, Civic Center, Fillmore, the Castro and Pacific Heights. Because Flexcar operates nationally, individual and business members can use vehicles from Seattle to San Diego and in 37 other cities in 6 states from coast-to-coast -- with more locations being added soon.
