Spansion Supplies Flash Memory Products to Siemens VDO
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 2, 2006 -- Spansion Inc. , one of the largest providers of Flash memory solutions, today announced that Siemens VDO Automotive AG, a global leader in automotive electrical and electronics systems, has selected Spansion as a key Flash memory products supplier for its powertrain applications. Flash memory plays a significant role under an automobile's hood to control the engine, transmission, and vehicle stability.

Spansion supplies Siemens VDO with several models of its floating-gate, burst-mode NOR Flash memory devices, which are optimized for automotive powertrain applications, including engine management and transmission control.
