USAC WESTERN RACING SCHEDULES REFLECT 111 RACES IN SIX STATES

INDIANAPOLIS - USAC’s Western racing schedules, released today, reflect 111
races spread across the Western United States involving a half-dozen
different racing series.

Following USAC’s 2006 “Copper World Classic” openers Jan. 21-22 at Phoenix,
Ariz., participants in the Western Sprint Car, Western Midget, CRA Sprint
Car, Rocky Mountain Sprint Car and California Ford Focus Dirt and Pavement
series will compete on 16 different speedways in a half-dozen states.

Co-sanctions will also be in effect, with CASA (California Asphalt Sprint
Car Association) partnering with USAC in a dozen pavement Sprint events and
BCRA (Bay Cities Racing Association) augmenting four Midget dates and a
tentative fifth date.

“Traditions” continue to be a big part of USAC’s repertoire, with the “Fred
Gerhardt Open Wheel Classic” at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway April 22
showcasing the Sprints and Midgets, with the Midget feature a 100-lapper.
The “Belleville Midget Nationals” in Kansas again showcases the best of USAC
’s National and Western Midget teams July 28-29 and the “Turkey Night Grand
Prix” at Irwindale, Calif. Nov. 23 features the Sprints, Midgets and Ford
Focuses.

Four additional events have been slated for the CRA Sprint Cars, whose
preliminary schedule had already been released. The CRA stars venture to USA
Race Park in Tucson, Ariz. on St. Patrick’s Day night March 17 and Sept. 22,
and will appear June 17 and Aug. 26 at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway,
bringing that series’ race count to 37.

The Western Sprint Cars debut April 1 at Shasta Raceway Park in Anderson,
Calif. and close on “Turkey Night” at Irwindale, while the Midgets, which
got the green flag Jan. 22 at Phoenix, also conclude their schedule with
their 100-lapper on “Turkey Night.”

The Ford Focuses open their Dirt series at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway March 18
and close out at the same track Oct. 21. The Pavement Focus calendar opens
April 1 at Irwindale and concludes on “Turkey Night” at the same facility.

The Young Automotive Group Rocky Mountain Sprint Cars kick off their slate
at Boise, Idaho in conjunction with the Western Sprint Cars April 14-15 and
follow with 10 events at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah.
