Automotive Youth Educational Systems Hosts Future Auto Technician Panel at Chicago Auto Show

CHICAGO, Jan. 30, 2006; Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) will host a diverse group of Chicago area high school seniors at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show on Feb. 9, 2006. Dubbed "AYES Future Techs," the aspiring technicians (ages 17-18) are part of AYES' nationwide initiative to provide superior training and opportunity for young people interested in a career in automotive technology.

While the AYES Future Techs are touring the show floor and attending the day's press conferences, they will be available for interviews regarding their impressions of the latest offerings from exhibiting manufacturers. From vehicle design to trends in technology, the AYES Future Techs will voice their unique perceptions and predictions for what's hot and what's not in the industry.

"Exposing AYES students to the newest vehicles and technologies will help prepare them for careers in today's dealerships and beyond," said Larry Cummings, president and CEO, AYES. "The AYES Future Techs already have a firm grasp on what is driving the industry including advancements in fuel-efficient technologies. As future consumers with a technical aptitude, their opinions will be vital to a manufacturer's success."

AYES selected eight exceptional students to serve as AYES Future Techs at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. All of the participants are students at the Technology Center of DuPage in Addison, Ill. in addition to attending their local high schools. The 2006 Future Techs panel includes:
