Deadline Approaching for the 2006 International Wheel Awards Entries

DETROIT, Jan. 27, 2006 -- Just a reminder that the deadline is rapidly approaching for the Detroit Press Club Foundation's prestigious 2006 International Wheel Awards. Entries must be postmarked or sent through parcel service by Tuesday, January 31st. New categories for Internet and Wire/News Service, as well as expanded categories for broadcast media, lead the changes for the 2006 competition. Award categories are Best News Story, Best Editorial or Opinion, Best Product Review/Evaluation, and Best Photojournalism for Newspaper, General Interest Magazine/Special Interest Publication, Internet and Wire/News Service. Television and Radio awards are given in all the above categories plus a special category for Best News Program or Documentary.

Entries are open to material published, distributed or aired in 2005. Awards will be presented at an April 6, 2006 ceremony at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich.

The International Wheel Awards competition and awards program are managed by the Individual Communicators Network on behalf of the DPCF. The awards reception is hosted by the Automotive Hall of Fame.
