LoJack Corporation and National Insurance Crime Bureau Kick-Off Education Program at CONDEX on Construction Equipment Theft Protection

Experts Unite to Help Construction Industry Combat the Growing Problem of Equipment Theft

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 27 -- LoJack Corporation , the global leader in tracking and recovering valuable mobile assets, and the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), a non-profit organization known for its expertise in vehicle theft issues and prevention methods, today kicked off an education program on construction equipment theft protection by presenting an informative, interactive seminar here. Timed to coincide with the CONDEX show in San Diego, the seminar is designed to help owners of construction equipment learn the facts about theft and how to protect their equipment and business from this growing issue.

"Theft of construction equipment continues to be an extremely costly problem in the industry," said Richard T. Riley, LoJack's President and COO. "Losses extend far beyond the cost of equipment to the real price tag of business downtime. This seminar, held in conjunction with another leading expert, NICB, is a part of our ongoing education initiative. We are dedicated to sharing our collective knowledge to help business owners learn how to protect themselves from theft."

"Awareness is an essential component in reducing the incidents of construction equipment theft," said Robert M. Bryant, President and CEO of NICB. "By teaming with LoJack to better inform owners and users of heavy equipment, NICB is seeking to reduce the economic impact of these crimes on both the construction and insurance industries."
