Kia Announces 2005 Profit Gains

Seoul January 27, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that Kia announced its net profit rose 2.9 percent in 2005 due in large part to an increase in global sales, reports The Associated Press. The South Korean automaker said in a statement that net profit increased to $700.4 million as revenue was up 4.6 percent. Kia is aggressively pursuing overseas expansion, including a plant location in the United States.
