Jet Aviation's 6th Annual La Bella Macchina Kicks Off Palm Beach Social Season with an Evening of Elegance

Exclusive Event Attracts Record Number of Guests and Corporate Sponsors While Benefiting Charity

PALM BEACH, Fla., Jan. 27 -- Jet Aviation's sixth annual La Bella Macchina held January 19 at the company's Palm Beach facility during the Cavallino Classic, was bigger than ever this year, drawing the largest number of guests in the event's history with a 50 percent increase over last year. The evening was a connoisseurs' celebration of Ferraris, private aircraft, yachts and life's other luxuries attended by more than 2,200 elite executives, VIPs, socialites and Ferrari aficionados. Proceeds from the silent auction of upscale goods and lifestyle experiences were donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. The "Best in Show" Ferrari winner, owner of the last surviving 1951 212 Export Spyder Vignale, received the Jet Aviation Cup and 10 hours of flight time from Avantair Inc. aboard the Avanti P-180 turboprop, customized by Jet Aviation with Ferrari's iconic colors and logo.

"La Bella Macchina is more than a party -- it's a lifestyle experience and also a relaxed forum where our clients, partners and sponsors come together to socialize and conduct business face-to-face," said Theo Staub, president and COO of Jet Aviation's U.S. operations. "We are thrilled that our signature events like La Bella Macchina continue growing in popularity each year, and we truly thank all of our sponsors, especially Citigroup Private Bank, our title sponsor, for their generous support in making it all happen."

"Conscientious volunteers and corporate citizens like Jet Aviation enable us to provide vital youth and educational programs to those who might not otherwise have access to such services," said Jaenne Miranda, vice president of development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. "The corporate board is honored by Jet Aviation's decision to recognize our organization at La Bella Macchina."

Guests mingled among a half billion dollars worth of luxury toys, including more than $125-million worth of private aircraft and $30-million worth of luxury yachts. Ninety-five new, classic and vintage Ferraris were exhibited, representing a 50 percent increase over last year's event. In addition to the winning model, Ferraris included a few 1930s and 1940s models ranging in value from $100,000 to a dazzling $1 million. Michael Furman's renowned Ferrari photographs were featured in the jet hangar and Escada models posed throughout the evening.
