TrueSports, Inc., owners and operators of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and
The Mid-Ohio School, will hold a teleconference on Thursday, January 26, to
announce a number of new motorcycling initiatives at the Lexington, Ohio,
track.
The track, which hosts the largest attended stand-alone American
Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Superbike Championship weekend in the U.S.
and the country's largest vintage motorcycling event, is currently
undergoing the biggest capital improvement project in its history. The work
includes a complete track resurfacing and the addition of an amateur
motocross venue. Work will be completed in advance of the track's first
2006 spectator event in May.
TrueSports, Inc. recently announced plans to add the AMA Superbike season
finale to Mid-Ohio's 2006 schedule. The AMA Superbike Shootout, as the
event will be known, will feature a special rider format for the Superbike
class, as well as championship-deciding races in the Supersport, Superstock
and Formula Xtreme categories.
TrueSports, Inc. President Michelle Trueman Gajoch and the director of The
Mid-Ohio School will be available during the teleconference to outline the
new initiatives and answer questions. Please contact Scott Reisz at (614)
793-4600 to register for the teleconference and for additional information.
