Auto-ID Industry Addresses RFID Compliance and Privacy; California Event to Discuss RFID Mandates and Fear

The panel discussions are part of the 2006 AIM Annual Showcase and RFID Interactive taking place at the Hyatt Newport Beach in Newport Beach, California, USA from February 22-24, 2006.It's been nearly three years since market leaders Wal-mart and the DoD announced their RFID compliance initiatives. In a unique panel discussion on Wednesday, February 22nd, Mark Roberti, Editor, RFID Journal moderates "Compliance Underway - What's Next," as industry executives from The Boeing Company, Unique Identification Program Office, SRA International, and Kimberly-Clark share the latest insights on their Auto ID compliance initiatives.
In the closing session for RFID Interactive, an end user event held in conjunction with the Showcase, a panel reviews the different sides of the RFID and privacy debate. Ross Stapleton-Gray of Stapleton-Gray and Associates, will moderate a panel of policy professionals from CAP Analysis and the Electronic Frontier Foundation as they discuss the issues/non-issues related to RFID. The session, "RFID and Privacy - The REAL Story," is slated for the afternoon of Thursday, February 23, 2006.
