PRSA, World's Largest PR Organization, Continues Use of TEKgroup Online Newsroom Software
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--Jan. 2, 20064, 2006--The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and TEKgroup International, Inc. renew their commitment to produce the organization's online newsroom. The news center, http://media.prsa.org, was first launched in April 2005 to provide information to members and the media in a professional and easy-to-use environment."The ability to quickly post current PRSA news online has been a tremendous improvement," said Janet Troy, PRSA's vice president, public relations. "But a less obvious advantage of the Media Room is the sophisticated measurement features that allow us - for the first time - to monitor and assess press interest."
The newsroom contains the essential elements and features including news releases, press kits, photographs, audio, event listings, executive biographies, contacts, media requests, podcasting and e-mail alerts. Along with these fundamentals are sections concentrating on the Society's initiatives - advocacy, diversity and professional development.
PRSA communicators also utilize online technology by providing content availability from certain sections via Really Simple Syndication (RSS). This allows any journalist with an RSS aggregator to subscribe to immediate notification of newsroom postings.
"We are very excited to continue this relationship with PRSA," stated Steve Momorella, partner and co-founder for TEKgroup International, Inc. "This organization is one of the leaders in our industry and we are proud to be able to work closely with them."
