Siemens VDO Promotes Guido Reuter to Vice President of Purchasing - North America
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 19, 2006 -- Siemens VDO today announced the appointment of Guido Reuter to Vice President of Purchasing for the company's North American operations. He now is responsible for all North American purchasing and will work with key suppliers to utilize their full potential to generate cost savings for Siemens VDO products, while ensuring the highest standards for improved quality. Reuter is based at the company's Troy, Mich. location and succeeds Frank Homann, who now serves as Vice President of Siemens VDO's North American Cockpit Modules and Systems division and is responsible for guiding the company's strategy to develop integrated cockpit module business in this market.
Reuter has been with the company since 1991 and has held various positions in Germany, France and the United States in the areas of Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Development and Purchasing. In his last position, Reuter was responsible for Siemens VDO's Purchasing/SQM activities at the company's Huntsville, Ala. operations.
He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
