GRAND PRIX OF HOUSTON TICKETS ON SALE JAN. 23
Ticket prices and packages released will provide great opportunities for fans of all types to experience
world-class racing and entertainment

HOUSTON, Jan 18, 2006 - Officials announced today that tickets for the 2006 Grand Prix of Houston will go on sale at 10 a.m. (CST) on Monday, Jan. 23. The highly anticipated return of the Grand Prix will take place on May 11 - 13 at Reliant Park and promises to be a hot ticket for hard-core racing enthusiasts and casual fans alike, with a thrilling schedule of three days and nights of speed and entertainment.

The 2006 Grand Prix of Houston will feature an unprecedented combination of racing and activities, highlighted by world-class events from American Le Mans Series and Champ Car. On Friday night, racing fans will welcome the all-new Lone Star Grand Prix, part of the American Le Mans Series of car endurance racing events patterned after the world-famous "24 hours of Le Mans" which features cars such as Audi, Corvette, Porsche, Maserati, and Aston Martin. The next night, fans will witness the awesome power of Champ Car when Saturday's main event features some of the top drivers in the world competing in the Bridgestone Presents Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford. Never before have two world-class racing events raced together on the same weekend at the same location, so Houston is in for an unforgettable racing experience.

In addition to the high-speed thrills of world-class racing, a wide variety of entertainment and activities is being scheduled for people of all ages. Live music and other entertainment will take place on multiple stages throughout the fan-friendly Reliant Park grounds, and the Grand Prix Kid Zone will have interactive games, rides, inflatables, and other attractions for children.

"The Grand Prix of Houston will be a three day/three night festival and is truly one of the "can't-miss" events of 2006. Houston should get ready for a high-octane party," said Robert Dale Morgan, Executive Director of the Grand Prix and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the 2004 Houston Super Bowl XXXVIII Host Committee.

Beginning Jan. 23, a full assortment of ticket options and packages will be available, ranging from single-day general admission tickets starting at $10 to a 3-Day Reserved Grandstand SuperTicket for $129. Paddock Passes will also be available, giving fans access to Reliant Arena which will house many of the race cars, large transporters, and garages for all of the race teams. Fans can rub elbows with drivers, mechanics, technicians and team owners and view the high-powered American Le Mans and Champ Cars up close. The SuperTicket is expected to be a popular option, since it provides an economical way to purchase an all-inclusive package of three days of reserved seating and paddock access.

A variety of individual and corporate hospitality options are also available, including Pit Lane Suites, the Grand Prix Club and the Executive Chalet Village. The most unique hospitality offering is the Stadium Club, located in Reliant Stadium, which gives fans air-conditioned comfort and an excellent view of the cars racing around the Reliant Astrodome and towards the finish line.

Tickets for the Grand Prix will be available online at www.grandprixofhouston.com or www.ticketmaster.com, in person at the Reliant Stadium South Box Office, by phone at 713-629-3700, and at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers including Houston-area locations of Foley's, Fiesta, and Wherehouse Music.
