GoEngineer Acquires GEI Technology

North America's Largest Reseller of SolidWorks Software Solutions Boosts Customer Count by 50%, Adds 5 Training Facilities

For Immediate Release

SALT LAKE CITY/EWORLDWIRE/Jan. 17, 2006 --- GoEngineer(R), Inc., North America's largest value added reseller of SolidWorks product design software, and of Agile Advantage product lifecycle management (PLM) software for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), today announced that it has acquired GEI Technology, Inc. of San Mateo, California. GEI is northern California's leading reseller of SolidWorks, with five offices/training centers conveniently located throughout the region. The acquisition will increase GoEngineer's current number of training facilities from seven to 12. The company plans to retain virtually all of GEI's employees. GEI will now operate under the name GoEngineer.

"GEI's people and facilities are a tremendous asset," says GoEngineer's CEO Ken Coburn. "They have consistently been a very high-performing team over the years, and we are proud to have them join us. GEI customers will be happy to know that they will continue to deal with the same talented people they've dealt with for years while they gain access to many new products, services and support options."

The acquisition presents GoEngineer with an important opportunity to extend its offering of training and implementation services, including JumpStart(SM), the company's unique, fixed-priced, best practices based implementation service. JumpStart rejects the traditional approach to software implementation, in which consulting services customize new software to fit legacy practices during implementation, whether those legacy practices work to the customer's advantage or not. Instead, through JumpStart, GoEngineer delivers business consulting and business process enhancement based on best-practices templates at the time of software implementation. JumpStart provides a practical, convenient way to quickly implement software that is well integrated into a company's business practices. "We view the implementation of software as an opportunity to streamline businesses and deliver a significant competitive advantage to our customers," says GoEngineer's Coburn.

"We did our homework, and I know our customers will appreciate the quality support, innovative services and broad range of solutions offered by GoEngineer," says Judy Williams, CEO of GEI Technologies. "There is a strong cultural compatibility between our teams. GoEngineer has a well deserved reputation for providing a great working environment for employees that are among the industry's best. This agreement means our people will have access to additional strengths GoEngineer brings to the marketplace, and in turn, our customers will benefit from those strengths. We're delighted to go forward with a strong company like GoEngineer."

"GoEngineer and GEI share a number of customers across territories," Coburn adds. "Those shared customers will now have even better access to resources at one larger, stronger company throughout California, Utah and Idaho. The combined company will be able to offer access to twelve training centers located within a reasonable driving distance of its major customers, saving corporate training budgets the expense of long-distance travel."
