Capvidia Finds Spatial InterOp Translates to Success; InterOp Translators Provide Capvidia with Native CATIA Libraries

WESTMINSTER, Colo. & LUEVEN, Belgium--Jan. 1, 20067, 2006--Spatial Corp., a Dassault Systemes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) company and market-leading provider of 3D components, and Capvidia, an engineering software developer, today announced the availability of interoperability solutions built by Capvidia and based on InterOp translators from Spatial.

"The native CATIA libraries from Spatial allow us to offer a direct translation to and from CATIA. We can also provide immediate upward compatibility with new CATIA releases," said Lyle Fischer, Technical Marketing Director for Capvidia.

Capvidia couples Spatial's native translation libraries for CATIA with its own proprietary healing solutions to create 3DTransVidia, a stand-alone application, and FormatWorks, which is used in conjunction with SolidWorks. By using Spatial's InterOp solutions, Capvidia offers full compatibility with the latest native versions of CATIA to its users, who are predominately in the automotive and aerospace industries, rather than outdated, reverse-engineered alternatives.

"One of InterOp's differentiators is our ability to provide native libraries in our translators," said Phil Spreier, Product Manager for Spatial's InterOp line. "Our access to these libraries ensures Capvidia's interoperability products will lead the field in quality and performance."
